Carrots calm digestion, red lentils are gentler than other legumes, cumin helps reduce gas and bloating.

Ingredients

    • 1 cup carrots, chopped

    • ½ cup red lentils, rinsed

    • 1 tbsp olive oil

    • ½ tsp ground cumin

    • ½ tsp ground turmeric

    • 3 cups vegetable broth

    • Sea salt, to taste

How to make

  1. Heat olive oil in a pot over medium heat.

  2. Add carrots and cook for 2–3 minutes.

  3. Stir in lentils, spices, and broth.

  4. Simmer for 15–20 minutes until soft.

  5. Blend lightly or fully, as preferred.

  6. Drizzle some olive oil and add ground cumin on top.
